Dean’s Cup 2026 was opened to external schools for the first time. Our inaugural schools, SUNY Plattsburgh and Champlain College sent teams, and had a blast! As we continue to grow, we hope to see more schools join and compete in the Dean’s Cup. This page contains everything you need to know about competing as an external school.
About
The Dean’s Cup is a one-day business case competition hosted at the University of Vermont’s Grossman School of Business. The competition centers around a real-world business case, which students must analyze, solve, and present to a panel of judges. Historically, the Dean’s Cup has been an internal competition for Grossman students, beginning as an initiative to provide accessible case competition experience. Now, the Dean’s Cup’s recruiting efforts extend beyond the University of Vermont’s student body, welcoming teams from other colleges and universities to compete, collaborate, and bring new perspectives to the competition.
